INNOVA, as regional innovation agency is a sort of bridge-building institution between the academic and business spheres. Our goal is to overcome the gap between the research results and their market diffusion, to build the missing links and connections, and to strengthen the already existing ones. Beyond the support of the researcher side, INNOVA also puts great emphasis on innovation activities of regional companies. INNOVA offers networking occasions for inventors, entrepreneurs and researchers on a monthly base in the 3 main cities of the region, in the form of Innovation Clubs.
Through its services INNOVA has active cooperation with more than 50 regional companies. For these companies INNOVA provides consultancy on innovative proposals, project management services and partner-search consultancy in the fields of food, thermal, information technology, measurement technology, electronics and transport. In fact, beyond the small and medium sized companies, INNOVA builds a cooperating connection with the regional multinational companies. Relating the Regional Innovation Strategy, the professional events, meetings and trainings INNOVA gets in contact with more than 800 regional companies.
In 2010 based on these business contacts, we organized networking events for IT companies with agricultural, energetic and touristic companies on a regular base. The goal of the events was to match the companies and gather information whether the IT SME’s could provide new IT solutions to make the work more effective.
Trainings
For our partners we have organized trainings in areas of innovation and project management in the following subjects: Strategy and Project management, Marketing innovation, FP7 Research Potential and Regions of Knowledge Information Day and Training. In 2010 more than 60 of our partners took part on at least one of these trainings.
Information Days
We are organising information days in order to support our partners to applying for EU and national funds more effectively. In 2010 we provided information about the programmes of Eureka, FP7 Health, ERC, FP7 Research Potential and Regions of Knowledge Programmes and financial issues relating to National Research and Technology Office all together for 200 participants.
